I can’t believe February is almost over. I don’t know about you, but I feel like January completely flew by us. We have so much catching up to do. Where to start?
After our first big overseas trip together in 2011, the travel bug bit us hard and it’s always been a case of when is the next voyage?
In November last year, B and I packed our suitcases and set off on an adventure around Europe. It’s my favourite place in the world to explore – the food and wine, the atmosphere, the history – with every country incredibly different than the next, each with their own unique vibe and energy.
It will come as no surprise that food plays a big role in the memories we’ve brought home with us. Wiener schnitzel, tafelspitz and apple strudel in Austria. Turkish delights, Boza and fried hamsi in Istanbul. And so much more…
I’ll try to record here on the blog, the experiences (mostly food-related but not strictly limited too) that resonated with us the most. Here are a few photos from our travels to get us started. I’m also working on a few other (hopefully) interesting things like a handy-dandy guide to making your own stock and broths which I’ll post soon.

We live in a crazy, exciting world. Both B and I are keen to experience even more new places and new things in 2021. Bring it on!
What a gorgeous and fun trip! It is hard to believe this year has already started passing us by, time must fly when you are having fun I guess!
Thanks Martine! We’ll be reminiscing about this trip for some time to come I imagine.
Fantastic photos of your trip to Europe. It looks like you and B had a fantastic time and explored so many nooks and crannies around Europe. But my big question is. . .what is in store for 2021? I am a big adventure junkie and love to travel. . .so always curious as to everyone’s travel plans.
Hi Lynn – thanks for taking the time to comment! We had a fantastic trip. The itch for travel is always there – an American road trip is on the cards soon. B is hanging out to visit the Barbecue Belt in the South and I’m keen to see Wyoming and Montana. We’ll see!
We do live in a crazy and beautiful world! And a delicious one too! Thanks for the glimpse into your trip :D
Thanks Lorraine, the world is chock-full of interesting and delicious foods to try!
